freedom
The sun setting over an ocean,
An ocean I floated in.
Sea salt riming my hair,
like thicket.
My body feeling spare and stretched from the curling sea,
Warm and eased from the sun’s heat.
Evening settling in slowly.
A white candle glowing,
Smelling of salty sea and cotton candy.
The scent engulfs the air.
Hot, wet, and thick air standing still.
My senses flooded; my body filled.
